5 Energy Star-Approved Air Purifiers With Great Ratings

Energy Star-approved and deemed one of the most efficient purifiers of 2024, this Honeywell version imparts zero ozone emissions and uses only just over 80 kWh per year (per Energy Star’s report).

It harnesses four tiers of cleaning power to remove microscopic particles in your air, like dust mite debris, smoke, pollen, dust and dander. Another plus? You’ll never have to purchase a replacement filter — its internal filter is designed to be removed, washed and popped back in once it’s “full.”

This is designed to purify medium sized rooms up to 300 square feet.

Promising review: “It’s crazy to think, but it’s absolutely true that this air purifier has been life changing not only for myself but also my son.

My entire life, I’ve been breathing through one nostril. My son too is always congested. Our home is spotlessly clean. Within a week of purchasing this purifier, (and I do run it with the charcoal filter) both my son and I have been able to breathe freely through both nostrils. That’s not just a matter of convenience, my running and stamina have improved and as proof my VO2 level (volumetric oxygen my lungs can absorb) from my fitness tracker has increased by 10 percent.

It all sounds too good to be true, but if you’ve been on the border trying to decide, just do it.

I would not buy another machine because this has a washable filter, and the regular fan speed consumes 4 watts, dleep 2 watts, so it really costs nothing to run versus other machines that you have to buy expensive filters and consume 10 to 15 times more electricity multiplied by 24/7/365.

If there’s something I’d change on this machine as a manufacturer, I would have a memory setting for the last fan speed before powering off and get rid of the useless brightness function and just supply dim lights.

Relax. Breathe in. Breathe out. Enjoy your new life.” — Chris Yates
