Jet2 issues flight warning for passengers | Travel News | Travel

Jet2 has issued a flight warning for passengers travelling to and from the UK due to weather disruption.

In an update, an airline spokesperson said: “We are aware of various weather warnings for the remainder of this week that may affect some of our UK operations.

“If you are due to fly on a Jet2 flight during this period, please allow extra time to get to the airport and carry any essentials in your hand luggage, with liquid restrictions in mind.”

The holiday provider said all its flights were scheduled to depart on time currently and said any affected passengers would be contacted.

Jet2’s operations team is in constant contact with the Met Office to have the latest weather information.

The spokesperson added: “We will always (where required) board our flights for an on-time departure, meaning, we can depart as soon as we have clearance.

“During events of bad weather, this could cause a longer than usual wait onboard the aircraft, we apologise in advance if this is the case.”

Jet2 advised passengers to check its website travel information page for updates during bad weather.
